Terms & Conditions

1. Who Can Join

You must live in Sri Lanka and be 18 years or older to enter. You'll also need to follow Maliban Nice official Facebook and Instagram pages, this is required to enter and to be eligible for a prize.

2. When You Can Enter

The campaign runs from 07/09/2026 to 04/10/2026 at 11:59 PM (SLST). Entries received after this time won't be counted.

3. How to Enter

Here's exactly what to do:

1. Follow Maliban's Facebook and Instagram pages.
2. Visit nicekatha.maliban.app using the link in our post caption.
3. Click "Share My Nice Story."
4. Enter your mobile number and verify it with the OTP (one-time password) you receive.
5. Fill in your name, the province you're from, and pick a Story Category.
6. Record your Nice Story on the platform, or upload an audio recording instead.
7. Read and accept these Terms & Conditions.
8. Click "Submit Your Story."
9. Download the image you receive after submitting, and post it as a comment on our campaign post.

All nine steps need to be completed for your entry to count — including the comment step. If you skip a step, your entry may not be considered.

4. Rules for Your Story

Your Nice Story should be true and your own. It shouldn't include anything hateful, obscene, unlawful, or that could hurt someone's reputation. If your story mentions or includes the voice of a friend or family member, make sure they know their voice may be featured and that they're okay with it — you're responsible for getting their okay before you submit.

5. How Winners Are Chosen

Five (5) winners will be picked from all valid entries submitted during the campaign period, based on [judging criteria — e.g. originality, storytelling, entertainment value — to confirm]. From these 5 winners, 3 will also have their story turned into an AI-generated video (see Section 7). Winners will be contacted using the mobile number they entered with, and/or announced on our official social media pages.

6. Prizes

Each of the 5 winners will receive experiential gift prizes. Prizes can't be exchanged for cash and can't be transferred to someone else.

7. Your Story as an AI Video

If your story is chosen to become an AI Reel, we'll use artificial intelligence to turn your voice recording and story into a short video. This video is a creative, stylised version of your story — it may look and sound different from how you imagined it, and it isn't meant to be an exact re-enactment. Your name, province, and voice (or an AI-generated version of it) may appear in the video, which we'll publish on Maliban Nice's social media.

8. Rights We Need From You

By submitting your story, you're giving Maliban permission to use your story, name, voice, and image (including the entry image and any AI Reel made from your story) to run this campaign and for marketing on our social media and other channels, both during and after the campaign.

9. About Facebook & Instagram

Following our pages, commenting, and any other activity you do on Facebook or Instagram is also governed by those platforms' own terms and privacy policies. Maliban isn't responsible for how Meta (Facebook/Instagram) handles your data on their platforms.

10. When We May Disqualify an Entry

We may remove or disqualify any entry that:

• Doesn't follow our Facebook and Instagram pages
• Skips any of the entry steps in Section 3
• Contains a story or recording that isn't the entrant's own, or features someone without their consent
• Breaks any of these Terms

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time — for example, if we need to change the campaign period or prize details. The latest version will always be posted on the platform.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of Sri Lanka.
